Chaille Short

A licensed real estate Broker since 1982, Chaille Short brings more than four decades of experience and a deep, comprehensive understanding of the real estate industry to her role as Vice President of Operations at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene.

A native Houstonian, Chaille’s passion for her city inspired her career in real estate. She began in the management and marketing of commercial office buildings, expanded into commercial construction and project management, and transitioned into residential sales in the mid-1980s. This diverse background gives her a unique, well-rounded perspective on the industry and the evolving needs of agents and clients alike.

Building on a successful sales career, Chaille broadened her expertise to include relocation services and naturally moved into sales management, where her strengths in leadership, strategy, and innovation flourished. Her keen understanding of the challenges agents face, combined with her commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology and analytics, has elevated the level of service delivered to both clients and customers.

Chaille is known for her dedication to developing agents at every stage of their careers. Her training and coaching abilities are invaluable in inspiring both new and seasoned professionals, and have consistently contributed to increased productivity and professional growth.

Her commitment to industry leadership is equally impressive. Chaille has served on numerous committees, task forces, and leadership roles with the Houston Association of Realtors (HAR), including Chair of the Board of Directors in 2014. She has also held Director and Committee positions with HAR, Texas Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. Currently, she serves as Vice Chair of the HRIS Board of Directors (2026), Regional Vice President for Texas Realtors, and Director for the National Association of Realtors.

Chaille thrives on the challenges her role presents and takes pride in having shaped a career that blends her love for Houston with her passion for real estate and its continual growth and redevelopment. While deeply committed to the industry she serves, she considers her greatest accomplishment to be her daughter, Ashley, a proud 2019 graduate of Texas A&M University.
